Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia on the Inauguration of Among Tani Central Market, Batu City, East Java Province, December 14, 2023

Ladies and Gentlemen.

Today, the Among Tani Central Market in Batu city, East Java province, which was built in 2021, has been completed and can be used by sellers for business. The Among Tani Market can accommodate 2,700 stalls and kiosks, all of which can be used for trading, either in the wet zone, in the dry zone or in the food and culinary zone.

This is the largest market I had ever seen in Indonesia, occupying 3.4 hectares, the building is very magnificent with three floors. Everything was well arranged. I reviewed the market, the kiosks are arranged very well, the stalls are also very well arranged. There is a separate food and culinary space. This will be a clean market, neatly arranged, the parking area will also be very spacious. The Government hopes that the traders’ income will increase and be more prosperous.

And, by saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim this morning, I inaugurate the Among Tani Central Market, Batu city, East Java province.
