Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

His Excellency President of the Islamic Development Bank, Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser and delegations;
Distinguished Ministers, CEO of Dharmais Cancer Hospital along with all employees,

Acting Governor of Jakarta,

Ladies and Gentlemen.

When I entered the new building of Dharmais Cancer Hospital earlier, I felt like I was in a five-star hotel. The building is neat, the design is beautiful, and the lights are bright. Normally, when I enter the regional hospital, the atmosphere is dark, but this one is not.

I am impressed with the hospital’s ultramodern, all-digital equipment. The allocated budget is quite high, with a significant amount funded by the Islamic Development Bank. The construction of the new building cost Rp427 billion, the procurement of hospital equipment was Rp313 billion, and the procurement of human resources was Rp37 billion. The total budget is quite substantial.

The Government is willing to invest and allocate funds as long as the budget is truly targeted and can resolve healthcare service problems, especially cancer for women and children. That is the most important thing.

Yesterday, I was also surprised when I inaugurated the construction of a facility at Sardjito Hospital and Hasan Sadikin Hospital, which also has an eight-story building. Everything felt like entering a five-star hotel. This is what we get if we use the budget properly. Conversely, if we do not manage the budget well, the quality of the building will be very poor.

That concludes my remarks. By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, this afternoon I inaugurate Cancer Care Building for Women and Children at Dharmais Cancer Hospital, West Jakarta.

I thank you.
Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
