Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia on the Inauguration of Indonesia Arena at Gelora Bung Karno Senayan, Jakarta, August 7, 2023

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
Good morning,
May prosperity be upon us all.

Distinguished ministers, Governor of Jakarta, President Directors of Indonesia SOEs, athletes, ladies and gentlemen,

We now already have an arena with a capacity of around 16,000 people, built with the budget of Rp640 billion within only eighteen months. It is very fast.

This Indonesia Arena can be used for basketball tournament, in particular. It can also be used for badminton, volleyball, futsal and other purposes such as concert. Thus, for those who are planning to hold a concert here please submit the proposal. I will be glad if it can be useful either for sports competition or concert.

By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, this afternoon I inaugurate Indonesia Arena at Gelora Bung Karno compound, Senayan, Jakarta.
