Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia Upon the Arrival from Cambodia, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, November 13, 2022

The delegation and I have just arrived from Cambodia. The handing over of the 2023 ASEAN chairmanship was conducted today. When assuming the ASEAN chairmanship, I have stated that ASEAN should be stronger as the epicentrum of the global growth.

ASEAN must be a region that remains peaceful, upholds humanity and democracy values, observes international law, and not being a proxy for anyone. Economic cooperation must be strengthened so the ASEAN can be more prosperous and developed.

Furthermore, on the preparation for the G20 Summit, I have been reported that all things have been prepared. 17 heads of state will attend it and it is a delight to hear it considering the difficult situation at this moment, not to mention that President Joe Biden and President Xi Jinping will also attend the summit.

Indonesia continues to fight for world peace, as well as be part of the solutions of various crises and economic recovery.
