Honorable guests,

Ladies and Gentlemen.

First and foremost, as devout individuals, let us offer our praise and gratitude to the Almighty God, the All-Powerful, who, for Muslims, is Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, the Lord of all worlds. It is to Him alone that we pray, and to Him alone that we seek help. We are grateful for all the blessings bestowed upon our nation, for the breath of life and the health we continue to enjoy, so we can gather here today in this grand ceremony to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of the Indonesian National Police.

First and foremost, on behalf of myself, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, and the entire Indonesian people, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations on the 79th Bhayangkara Day to the big family of the Indonesian National Police, wherever you may be.

Long live the Indonesian National Police.

I would also like to express my highest gratitude and appreciation for the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices of all police officers in maintaining stability and security so that we, as a nation, can carry out major agendas of national development currently underway.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Indonesia’s ideal of independence is not merely to achieve freedom but to become a sovereign nation in all aspects, especially one that is prosperous and grounded in justice.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Our goal is that every citizen in this nation enjoys freedom and prosperity. The founding fathers dreamed of an Indonesia free from poverty and hunger, where justice prevails. That is our goal. Therefore, our country needs a police force that is strong, professional, clean, and beloved by the people. The people’s police must be present among the people to defend and protect them, especially those who are weakest, most oppressed, and poorest.

History teaches us that no nation has succeeded without a strong and capable police force. With that awareness, every leader of this country, from the first president to the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh, up to my administration, has recognized the importance of building a strong and capable police force.

Therefore, let us remember and extend our highest appreciation to the founders of the Indonesian National Police, whose invaluable contributions and pioneering efforts laid the foundation for a strong and resilient police force.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

On this special occasion, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the institution’s leadership, particularly to the Chief of Police and all senior officials of the Indonesian National Police. I have noted encouraging progress and commendable achievements by the police. I witness firsthand how our police are now truly present among the people, taking initiative, playing an active role, working alongside the people, and even contributing to efforts to boost our nation’s food production. For all of this, I express my deepest gratitude.

The Indonesian police should not be like those in wealthy and highly developed countries. Our police must be among the people, sharing in their hardships, understanding their struggles, and listening to the cries of their hearts. For this reason, I thank all of you. Throughout my leadership, I have witnessed your sincerity and dedication. To that, I say: continue! Continue!

Indonesia stands on the brink of revival. We must wisely manage and protect our country’s wealth; the police are the spearhead in safeguarding our nation’s resources and people. And, Ladies and Gentlemen, the police will always face challenges—they will be a target and undermined by those seeking to weaken your spirit of dedication.

Therefore, I urge the police today to remain resilient and strong, steadfast in refusing to be shaken or compromised by anyone.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Indonesia is a rich nation, and with that wealth comes persistent external threats. That is natural since the strong often dominate the weak. But Indonesia refuses to be dominated. We are not weak. That is why the police must play a crucial role in safeguarding our nation’s wealth and sovereignty.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Your leadership’s initiative to actively and massively participate in the Government’s various strategic programs—such as the free nutritious meals program aimed at saving our children and grandchildren—is a vital step in securing the future of our nation. The initiative is indeed a strategic and correct move. I would like to express my gratitude for the police’s involvement in this effort. Today, the Police and the Indonesian National Defense Forces are at the forefront of this major national program.

You, Ladies and Gentlemen, have also participated in the education and training of the Scholars for Indonesian Development (Sarjana Penggerak Pembangunan Indonesia). You also directly supported our efforts toward national food sovereignty. Your contributions have yielded concrete achievements in several areas. Our corn production has reached its highest level in the history of the Republic of Indonesia, and this is in no small part thanks to the Indonesian National Police under the leadership of Chief of Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and his entire team.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Please continue this struggle and maintain the people’s trust. Once again, always prioritize the people’s interests above all else.

Ladies and Gentlemen, once again,

Never, ever disappoint the people.

That’s all. Once again, happy Bhayangkara Day! Let us strive to embody the spirit of Rastra Sewakottama—police officers devoted wholeheartedly to the glory of our nation and state. May you always be the police who are respected and loved by the people.

Thank you. Good luck with your duties, and may you carry out this noble trust for the people, nation, and country.

The police for the community,

The police for the people,

Happy Anniversary to the Indonesian National Police,

Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

May peace be upon us all,

Shalom,
