Reporters Give President Jokowi Birthday Surprise

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo was given a birthday surprise by reporters when inspecting development of a new runway and Eid al-Fitr return traffic at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Cengkareng, Tangerang, Banten, Thursday (21/6).

As usual, reporters were given the opportunity to ask questions and information to the President about his activities. However, at the end of doorstop session, a reporter claimed to have important information for the President.

“Mr. President, there is important information that I need to convey,” the reporter said.

At that time, everyone was silent, especially when the reporter said the information is very important for President Jokowi’s presidency.

“This information is very important for your future endeavor in leading this country,” the reporter continued.

Unexpectedly, the information he was referring to was a birthday wish for President Jokowi, who turned 57. All reporters who attended the event also wished the President a happy birthday.

“I never had a birthday,” said President Jokowi while laughing.

However, on that occasion, President Jokowi expressed his wish for the prosperity of Indonesia.
