Residents of Ngada, East Nusa Tenggara, Welcome President Jokowi

After a 30-minute flight from Haji Hasan Aroeboesman Airport, President Joko Jokowi Widodo and First Lady Ibu Iriana Joko Widodo arrived at Soa Bajawa Airport, Ngada regency, East Nusa Tenggara province, Wednesday (06/01).

The President and Ibu Iriana were greeted by Deputy Governor of East Nusa Tenggara, Josef Nae Soi, and Regent of Ngada, Andreas Paru. When the President walked towards the main airport waiting room, the Welcome dance “Ja’i Bajawa” also welcomed the President and the First Lady.

When they were about to enter the vehicle in Ngada regency, the President and Ibu Iriana, who wore traditional Bejawa clothes, greeted the residents and took pictures.

For the local residents, President Jokowi’s presence was special, because for the first time in history, the President of the Republic of Indonesia visited Ngada regency.

Along the road to Bobou Market, Bajawa, Ngada regency, many people welcomed the President and Ibu Iriana.
