Indonesia will commemorate its 76th Anniversary of Independence Day next month under the theme “A Resilient Indonesia, An Advancing Indonesia”.

In order to liven up Independece Day, the Government has carried out several events and festivals in welcoming the commemoration of the Anniversary of Indonesian Independence Day since 2017, according to Minister of State Secretary Pratikno on Friday (30/7/2021).

However, Pratikno added, this year’s celebration is quite different and simple considering Indonesia is still facing COVID-19 pandemic.

With the implementation of strict health protocols and more focus on virtual events, Pratikno expressed hope that the public can feel new experiences through official website of the Rumah Digital Indonesia, www.rumahdigitalindonesia.id from 1 August to 31 August 2021.

For the record, the presence of the Rumah Digital Indonesia aims to become a meeting point between digital technology advances and the spirit of Indonesia’s nationalism as a resilient, advancing nation to break physical boundaries, adding that, it is also proof that Indonesia is digitally empowered.

The platform will broadcast a series of commemoration ceremonies of the 76th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence Day, art performances, and entertainment programs, he said.

It will also carry out special games, showcase products from MSMEs, and hold other online activities, he added.

Although this year’s celebration will be quite different, it is expected to bring the same energy, the same vibrant as years before, the Minister remarked. (TGH/UN) (AP/MUR)
