Sixth Vice President Try Sutrisno Passes Away After Long Service to Nation, State

The funeral procession of the Sixth Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Military General (Retd.) Try Sutrisno.

Indonesia lost yet another patriot, the Sixth Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Military General (Retd.) Try Soetrisno on Monday (03/02).

Known as a leader who upheld the principles of discipline, modesty, and state loyalty, Try was a soldier and statesman who dedicated his life to the service of the nation and the state.

His career was forged with multiple strategic assignments within the Indonesian National Defense Forces. He pursued military education at the Armed Forces Joint Staff and Command School in 1977, which enhanced his capacity as a strategic officer to safeguard national stability during the critical periods of national development.

Try’s dedication and professionalism led to his appointment to various important positions, including Commander of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Indonesia (ABRI) from 1988 to 1993.
