President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo urged school principals whose schools are no longer in the level 4 area of community activity restrictions (PPKM) to immediately carry out limited in-person learning (PTM) after their students and educators received the COVID-19 jabs.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, principals, after vaccination, immediately conduct limited in-person learning, provided that the area is at level 3 or level 2,” the President said when inspecting vaccination drive for high school students in Sukoharjo regency, at Kartasura 1 Public Senior High School, Sukoharjo regency, Central Java province, Monday (13/09).

On the occasion, President Jokowi also reminded the importance of accelerating the COVID-19 vaccination drive for students. The President expressed hope that the vaccination drive can protect students from the spread of COVID-19 so that limited in-person learning can be resumed immediately.

“I hope everything goes smoothly so that our children, all of our students can stay healthy, can be protected from the dangers of COVID-19, and can immediately attend in-person learning,” said the President.

The President also encouraged students to study hard amid the pandemic. “My children, happy learning, study well,” he said.

Accompanied by Ibu Iriana Jokowi, the President also greeted students who participated in vaccination drives in several other locations via video conference. (BPMI/UN) (FI/MUR)
