Chairperson of the General Election Commission (KPU) of South Sulawesi Misnah M. Attas said that her team is ready to hold the 2019 General Election.

This readiness was declared on the welcoming of the House of Representatives’ (DPR) Commission II working visit by Deputy Governor of South Sulawesi Andi Sudirman Sulaiman at the Governor of South Sulawesi Office, Friday (29/3).

For the record, there are 26,348 polling stations in the upcoming election in South Sulawesi.

“Logistics distribution for the furthest regions and remote areas will be carried out ten days before polling day,” Misnah said. According to her, there are 13 regencies/municipalities that have not received ballots yet. “However, today the ballots are ready to be distributed,” she added.

Regarding the final voter list, Misnah said that the South Sulawesi KPU had completed their data verification. “We will be held accountable for our data,” she said, adding that she expected the upcoming election will run smoothly.

On the occasion, Commission II of the DPR member Azikin Solthan said the working visit was carried out in order to evaluate the policies that have been set between the DPR and the Government, including the public service system in South Sulawesi. “As we know, the public service is important in establishing good governance,” he said.
