Sport Minister Hands Over Cash Bonus to Indonesian Football Team
Minister of Youth and Sports Imam Nahrawi on Wednesday (27/2) at Soekarno Hatta International Airport handed over Rp2.1 billion cash bonus to Indonesian U-22 National Team, the Winner of the 2019 AFF U-22 Championship.
The Minister symbolically handed over the bonus to the Teams Captain Bagas Adi Nugroho, who was accompanied by Coach Indra Sjafri, upon the arrival of the Team at the Airport.
“The Government appreciates the achievement. All bonuses will be transferred directly to bank accounts of players, coaches, coach assistants, team officials, and others,” Imam said, before expressing his hope that the bonus will support the Team to achieve more in the future.
“We know that after winning the AFF U-22 championship, they will enter national training to prepare for the AFC Cup to be held next March and they will also prepare for the 2019 SEA Games,” Imam said.
In the meantime, the National Team Coach Indra Sjafri praised the Minister and the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) for their support to the National Team. “I am not an influential figure (in the Team), the heroes are the players who have shown their best in the match, “Indra Sjafri said.
For the record, the amount of bonuses handed over by the Minister is as follows:
Coach: 1 x 100,000,000 = Rp100,000,000
Players: 23 x 65,000,000 = Rp1,495,000,000
Coach Assistant: 4 x 62,500,000 = Rp250,000,000
Team Officials: 8x 32,000,000 = Rp256,000,000
Total = Rp2,101,000,000
