State Apparatus Urged to Stay Focused on Serving Public After Elections

The Government has called on all state civil apparatus (ASN) to stay focused in carrying out their duties as public servants after the elections ended.

“The political contestation is finished; thus all ministries/institutions and regional governments should stay focused again on their duties for the benefits of the country,” Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Syafruddin said in Jakarta, Tuesday (2/7).

According to the Minister, the country will face greater challenges in the future; therefore, state civil apparatus are expected to upgrade their competence and performance to cope up with the challenges. He expressed belief that a professional state civil apparatus will provide better public services.

Syarifuddin also called on personnel of the Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI) and the National Police to immediately return to their routine duties after carrying out the hard work of maintaining national security during the elections. The Minister also urged all people of Indonesia to maintain peace after election. (PR of Ministry of PANRB/ES)
