I just carried out an inspection and ensured the preparedness of venues to be used for the 2022 G20 Summit in Bali. As the host country, we surely want to give the best services and to give the utmost. I believe Bali has good reputation and experiences in organizing international events.

We must use this event to showcase Indonesia’s capability in handling COVID-19 pandemic, both in terms of health and economic sectors. Furthermore, we also want to show Indonesia’s advancements and the abundance of cultural diversity, as well as to show our leadership in G20 Presidency.

I am hoping the Central Government, regional governments, and people in Bali continue to join hands in handling COVID-19. I’ve received report that 98 [percent] of population in Bali have received their first dose and 79 percent have received their second dose of vaccines. This is our asset in preparing the G20 [Summit].

That concludes my remarks on this auspicious occasion.

I thank you. (RAS/MMB)
