Mr Jokowi, regarding the Golden Visa, what are the benefits of the visa for our country and how can the Government ensure that this policy does not pose risks in the future, in terms of security risk or money laundering risk?

The program aims to improve our services to investors and to global talents who will have the opportunity to come to Indonesia with the Golden Visa facility. For individuals, the cost is US$350,000, while for corporations, the cost is US$25 million.
Our goal is to increase money circulation in our country. We also aim to attract more global talents to come to Indonesia to work, and generate value added to our country. That is the goal. Having said that, all applicants must be selected in a very prudent manner, so that they will bring benefits in line with our national interests. As of today, as previously stated by Director General of Immigration, there are already three hundred [applicants]. That is a very significant number.

Do you have a specific target, Mr President, for the number of applicants?

The target is that we will bring as many applicants as possible. I have reiterated that this visa should not be provided to those who do not bring benefits to our country. We must be very prudent in selecting the applicants.

Yes, we will carry out an evaluation every three months.

I will hold a meeting there once everything is ready. If the chairs are not ready, it is impossible to have a meeting there. It all depends on the readiness of the facilities in the IKN. We will not reduce the quality of the interior or the quality of the building. Once everything is ready, I will come in.
