Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Today, I am in West Nusa Tenggara province to inspect the readiness of infrastructure ahead of Mandalika MotoGP in March.

Earlier, I also checked the arrival procedure at airport and all the processes at the airport, particularly relating to the health protocols, result of PCR test and proof of being fully vaccinated; it’s all good.

Second, I also inspected the infrastructure, particularly bypass from the airport to Mandalika in terms of the beauty, aesthetic, and landscape. We have been working on it during the past week and the progress already can be seen. We hope visitors travelling from airport to Mandalika, Mandalika Circuit can enjoy this beautiful and aesthetic landscape. Therefore, we must prepare the infrastructure. I order it be finished in February.

Third, Mandalika is not all about the race. We also hope the development can boost the economy, the economic growth. To that end, the Central Government and the regional governments have offered support for the local residents in building homestays. To date, there are around 300 homestays.

We hope all homestays are fully occupied when the MotoGP takes place. Once again, they will bring significant effect to the economy of the residents of Mandalika Special Economic Zone.

I have checked homestays built by Ministry of Public Work and Public Housing one by one. We will see whether they can be fully occupied or not. I think they will be fully occupied.

That concludes my statement.

I thank you.

Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
