In the last two years, we have made major improvements in Borobudur Temple and its surrounding area, including by improving roads around the Borobudur. We also renovate the entrance to the temple. This is one of the priority tourist destinations that we aim to improve.

The most important thing is that the regular cultural arts events, routine performing arts that are continuously held at our tourist destinations, including Borobudur, must continue to be carried out to attract more tourists to come to Indonesia.

During Eid holidays, it is predicted that many tourists will come to Borobudur. What do you think, sir?

The most important thing for mudik [annual exodus during Eid holiday] and for visiting tourist areas is observing health protocols, particularly by wearing masks. You must also get complete vaccine doses, plus a booster dose. It is important to protect all of us.

From the latest data we received, there are approximately 79 million [people] who wanted to do mudik. This is not a small number. We cannot compare it with other events, including MotoGP with 60,000 visitors. The 60,000 is not compatible to 79 million. We must handle it properly. We must speed up complete dose vaccination drive and booster vaccination drive.

During your trip from the airport to the market, many people shouted about the third term [of Presidency]. What do you think?

I have often heard of it, be it the will or the voices of the people. Nevertheless, what the Constitution states is already clear. We must comply with and obey the Constitution.
