Statement of President of the Republic of Indonesia During Bilateral Meeting between Indonesia and Germany, at Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java Province, June 16, 2022
Good morning,
Once again, I would like to welcome President Steinmeier and delegates to Indonesia. It is an honor.
During the tête-à-tête, we discussed several issues on relations between Indonesia and Germany, as well as the current global condition. We will further discuss the economic bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
This year, we will commemorate the 70th anniversary of Indonesia-Germany diplomatic relations. This is a great momentum for the two countries to strengthen our relations.
I’d also like to acknowledge various series of activities that will be held to celebrate the anniversary, one of which is a contemporary art exhibition ‘Documenta Fifteen’ to be held in Germany in collaboration with the Indonesian artist group Ruangrupa. The event is to be opened by President Steinmeier.
Now I’d like to invite President Steinmeier to deliver his opening remarks.
