Statement of President of the Republic of Indonesia during Inspection of Mangrove Conservation Forest, 2 December 2021, Bali Province

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

This morning, I together with the Ministers and the Governor saw the field we will prepare to be visited by the G20 leaders. The places we want to show are mangrove forest and mangrove nurseries, which emphasized Indonesia’s strong commitment to climate change. This will affirm our commitment to restoring mangrove forests, rehabilitating mangrove forests, restoring peat forests, and restoring critical lands in our country. We want to show such commitment in a concrete and real manner on the ground. And later we will invite all 20 Heads of State to visit this place.
