Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

Alhamdulillah, thanks to the works of the Government and those involved, we successfully managed this year’s Eid exodus traffic so the peak of this year’s exodus traffic a few days ago, which is the highest in history, ran well.

In the next few days, we will brace for the peak of the return traffic. Ministry of Transportation has previously estimated that as many as 203 thousand vehicles are expected to move from eastern part of Java and Bandung into capital Jakarta through Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.

The figure is significantly higher compared to that of normal days, which typically see only 53 thousand vehicles.

To that end, to avoid congestion during the peak of the return traffic that will fall on 24 and 25 April 2023, the Government calls on the public, if there is no urgent need, to avoid the peak by returning after the peak of the return traffic on 26 April 2023.

This provision applies to state civil apparatus (ASN), personnel of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI), officers of the Indonesia National Police (Polri), employees of state-owned enterprise, as well as private sector employees in which the regulations can be arranged by their respective institutions or companies, namely additional paid leave, or other forms of paid leave.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please stay vigilant. Observe all rules and follow all instructions from the officers on the ground.

Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
