President Jokowi usher Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg to follow the bilateral talks, at the State Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (14/4) afternoon

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received the visit of Prime Minister (PM) Norway Erna Solberg at the State Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (14/4) afternoon.

Norway is an important partner for Indonesia in the field of the environment, human rights, renewable energy, and fisheries, as well as maritime.

“Indonesia is committed to strengthening the friendship and cooperation with Norway,” Jokowi said while giving a speech on the reception Prime Minister of Norway.

While the Prime Minister of Norway Erna Solberg said, in addition to bilateral issues, it is also important to discuss international issues, in which Indonesia and Norway should be cooperation that is more frequent in the foreseeable future.

“Due to the present world situation, requires that we all (countries in the world) work together to resolve the conflicts that occur in the world,” Erna Solberg said.

The meeting between the two Heads of Government and then proceed with a delegation of bilateral talks between the two countries. Indonesian delegation led by President Jokowi, while Prime Minister Erna Solberg led the delegation of Norway.

Seemed present accompanying President Jokowi on this occasion among others Minister for Economic Affairs Sofyan Djalil, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno LP Marsudi, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Cabinet Secretary Andi Widjajanto, Minister of Marine and Fisheries Susi Pudjiastuti, Head of BKPM Franky Sibarani, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said, and Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya..
