Strict health protocols continue to be enforced at the presidential palace compound, Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono has confirmed.

“The staff of the Presidential Secretariat will continue to enforce strict health protocols at the compound,” Heru said Monday (3/8).

According to Heru, anyone who want to meet with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo are required to carry out a swab test and on the day of the meeting, they are also required to do a rapid test.

“Even though they have taken a swab test, they are still required to do a rapid test before the meeting,” he added.

Strict health protocols, Heru added, also apply to facilities and infrastructure within the Palace, for example by maintaining distance between chairs of approximately 2-2.5 meters and installing an acrylic glass on the oval table which the President uses to receive guests.

“At the oval table used to receive guests, we have prepared an acrylic glass as a barrier,” he said.

In addition, Heru explained that windows in the Palace are also opened regularly for air circulation.

“Staffs continue to use face masks, regularly wash hands, and enter disinfectant tubes before visiting the Palace compound,” Heru said. (BPMI / EN)
