Students of State Vocational High School (SMKN) 19 Jakarta visit the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (04/07)

The Jakarta Presidential Palace on Tuesday (04/07) was filled with laughter and spirit from students of State Vocational High School (SMKN) 19 Jakarta as the Palace is open for school visits through a program called “Palace for Students”. The program, which was initiated by President Prabowo Subianto, is part of the Government’s commitment to develop and shape young generations.

Kayla Annisa Maulida and Ine Ratriana Pertiwi, students of SMKN 19 Jakarta, said that this visit is an unforgettable moment because they can finally explore the Presidential Palace complex which they had previously only seen through the media or from the outside of its ground.

“I am delighted to see the palace from the inside and learn the function of each room. I am also able to gain a deeper understanding of the Presidential Palace complex,” Kayla said with great enthusiasm.

Similar view was shared by Ine who impressed by the atmosphere of the Palace, the friendliness of the staff at the Palace, and the history of Indonesia through the Palace. Besides learning from the visual experience, the students also gained new knowledge from the documentation.

The visit also felt more special for the students since their school is the first group to have the opportunity to participate in the program.

Another student, Wahyu Khoirul Setiawan, also shared similar enthusiasm. He said that this visit opened a new breadth of knowledge on state activities organized in the Palace along with the rooms where state agendas are held.

The students expressed hope that the program will continue and be expanded to reach more students across different levels of education, reflecting the wishes from young generations for a broader audience to take benefits from such valuable experience. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RAS/MMB)
