The selection committee for the next Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) leaders has completed interviews and public tests, which constitute the final stage of a series of selection processes to select the next KPK leader for the 2019-2023 period at Ministry of State Secretariat, Jakarta, Thursday (28/8).

In her statement to reporters, Selection Committee Chairwoman Yenti Ganarsih said that the Committee will now have to select ten candidates, who are to be submitted to President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo.

“We will have a meeting with the President on Monday at 3:00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time to submit names of the ten candidates,” Yenti said.

Yenti went on to say that the results of latest selection process would be combined with that of health tests conducted at Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital.

For the record, twenty candidates had interviews and underwent public tests, both of which were held on Monday (26/8).

Regarding the ten candidates who passed the final selection stage, Yenti said that the Committee would only submit it to the President.  “The committee will not disclose it to the public so long as it is not requested by the President,” she said. (Ministry of State Secretariat PR/ES)
