The Government Aiming to Create Jobs, Seskab Says
According to the plan announced earlier, the Government, on Thursday (22/10) afternoon, announced Economic Policy Package V. The announcement was carried out after President Joko Widodo, accompanied by Vice President Jusuf Kalla, led a limited meeting, at the Presidential Office, Jakarta.
Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung said that the Policy Package V has two packages: one package is related with asset revaluation and other related with elimination of double taxataion. Moreover, the Cabinet Secretary affirmed that the aim of the Government to create jobs is serious.
Economic growth and improvement in industrial sector mean nothing if they do not create many jobs and significant for the community. This is the concern of the Government. This is the Regulation Package V, Pramono says.
Mas Pram, the nickname of Pramono Anung, also reminded that the President has publicly stated that there will be the 6th,7th, 8th, and probably the 100th or 200th regulation package. And maybe our Coordinating Minister for the Economy will be Mr. Deregulation, he said humorously.
Accompanying Pramono Anung on the announcement were Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Rizal Ramli, Governor of Bank Indonesia Agus Martowardojo, Minister of Finance Bambang Brodjonegoro, and the Chairman of Financial Services Authority (OJK) Muliaman Hadad.
