Government Injects Capital to PT. Geo Dipa Energi

With consideration to improve the capital structure, the government has injected capital amounting of Rp 2,006,135,598,753.75 to the Company (Persero) PT. Geo Dipa Energi. The capital increase was contained in Government Regulation No. 1 of 2015, which was signed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on January 5, 2015 ago.

The additional investment of State Capital derived from diversion of State Property that has been used by PT. Geo Dipa Energi, such as land, power plants, geothermal wells and supporting facilities in Dieng geothermal field, and also the use of land, geothermal wells, and supporting facilities in Patuha geothermal field.

“Government Regulation comes into force on the date of enactment,” the wording of Article 3 of Government Regulation No. 1 of 2015, which was promulgated by the Ministry of Justice Human Rights (HAM), Yasonna H. Laoly on January 5, 2015.

PT. Geo Dipa Energi which was established on July 5, 2002 originally was a subsidiary company of the two State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), namely PT. Pertamina (Persero) and PT. PLN (Persero). In February 2011, the composition of the shareholders of the Company have been changed, where the shares of PT Pertamina was taken over by the Government of Indonesia. As a consequence of such action, in December 2011 Geo Dipa Energi has changed the status to be the new State-Owned Enterprises. (Pusdatin/ES)
