The Ranking Rises, President Jokowi Remain Asks the Ministers to Conduct Breakthrough the Investment Facilitate

President Jokowi accompanied by Vice President Jusuf Kalla chaired the limited meeting on FDI, at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (16/9)

Even though the ranking ease of doing business in Indonesia in 2015 has increased slightly from the previous year, i.e. from rank 117 to rank 114 of the 189 countries, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) keep asking to the ministers and officials concerned to conduct breakthrough step to provide ease to invest .

“Investors could be local, domestic, and also foreigners. They all must be given easiness. Thus the movement of the real economy that we desire really gets moving,” President Jokowi said, while introducing the meeting that addressed the issue of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (16/9) afternoon.

In the limited meeting, President Jokowi also talked about the release of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), which conveyed the rising value of exports and imports of Indonesia.

“Imports rose that’s good because it means there is capital goods, especially raw materials that imported,” said the Head of State as he mentions, it would seem in the third quarter, economic growth will be visible rising.

However, President Jokowi warned that these figures should remain supported by government expenditures, both apparatuses expenditure, material expenditure, as well as capital expenditure.

“Once again all ministries to seek breakthrough steps in order to ease investment, ease of doing business in our country,” said President Jokowi as he mentioned, the need for concrete steps in achieving these targets.

The limited cabinet meeting was attended by Coordinating Minister for Economy, Darmin Nasution; Coordinating Minister for Maritime, Rizal Ramli; Minister of Environment and Forestry (LHK), Si Nurbaya; Minister of PAN-RB, Yuddy Chrisnandi; Head of BKPM ,Franky Sibarani; Minister of Industry, Saleh Husin; Minister for Rural, PDT, and Transmigration, Marwan Jafar; Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Susi Pudjiastuti; and President Director of PLN, Sofyan Basir.
