Today, President Jokowi Starts the Working Visit to Lampung, Bengkulu, and Riau

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) accompanied by Iriana Widodo started his working visit this morning to Lampung, Bengkulu, and Riau. The working visit will last for two days and be ended with the site observation of forest and land Sungai Tohor Village, Meranti Islands County, Riau.

The Head of Regional Planning and Development in Lampung, Fahrizal Darminto revealed that President Jokowi and the entourage took ferry from Merak Banten Port to Lampung at 7.30 a.m. until 9.00 a.m. local time and Bakauhieni Port as the destination.

Fahrizal continued, from that port President Jokowi went to Tarahan Steam Power Plan through Sumatera, in order to see the facilities directly on that track. Then, at 11.35 a.m. until 11.45 a.m. Jokowi and his entourage headed to PT Bukit Asam and continued the trip to Panjang Port.

Then, at 1.55 p.m. until 2.45 p.m. President Jokowi and entourage headed to agricultural center of Trimurjo, Central Lampung. “In that place, President Jokowi saw the agricultural center and observed the area he also talked with farmers from joint farm group BUMP with the actors of agricultural industry,” Fahrizal revealed.

Afterward, President Jokowi and his entourage continued their journey to the Airport of Raden Inten II in South Lampung, to hear the presentation about the airport condition that welcomed Jokowi.

From Lampung, President Jokowi will continue the trip to Bengkulu and take a rest there. On Wednesday morning, President is scheduled to visit Malabero Beach. Then, President Jokowi will hand over the Healthy Indonesia Card (Kartu Indonesia Sehat-KIS), Smart Indonesia Card (Kartu Indonesia Pintar-KIP), and Prosperious Familiy Card (Kartu Keluarga Sejahtera-KKS) in the Post Office of Bengkulu; and also visit the traditional market of Minggu Market and Panorama Market.

The land and forest fire in Riau

From Bengkulu, President Jokowi and his entourage are scheduled to continue their trip to Riau. After landed in Roesmin Noerjadin Airfield, Pekanbaru, Riau, President will take the chopper to go to Sungai Tohor, Meranti Islands County. In that place, President will have a dialogue with Meranti residents.

 During the flight, President will traverse the National Park of Tesso Nilo, and then he will land in Meranti County, to have a dialogue with the local residents.

In his flight back home to Pekanbaru, President Jokowi will observe through the air above the area of Cagar Biosfer Giam Siak.

In Pekanbaru itself, President Jokowi is scheduled to have a visit to Bawah Market which is the main shopping tourism market of Riau people. Besides, President is scheduled to attend the Declaration of Forest Fire Preventing and the Declaration of Jamrud National Park. (WID/ES)
