Afterwards, the Minister, through the Director General of Land Transportation, has sent a letter to Head of Traffic Police Corps of Indonesian National Police on trucks operation after Eid-al-Fitr. The content of the letter are, among others, traffic management through traffic flow diversion and car park setting.
If congestion occurs on certain road because the trucks have operated, the police can direct them to parking spots so they can wait until the congestion is over. The Minister asked the operators to understand the Governments decision. It was made to ensure smoothness of the returning flow.
I should announce that until Sunday, there will be an interuption to the trucks going from the east to west. It will be better if they can wait until Monday, the Minister said.
