Upon Arriving in the Islands of Banggai, President Jokowi is Welcomed by the Customary Chief

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo arrived at the helipad of Trikora Hill field, Islands of Banggai regency, Central Sulawesi province, Tuesday (03/26), after taking off from Syukuran Aminuddin Amir Airport, Banggai regency, onboard Indonesian Air Force’s Super Puma helicopter.

After arriving at the field, President Jokowi was welcomed by Acting Regent of Islands of Banggai Ihsan Basir, Chairperson of Islands of Banggai Regional House of Representatives Rusdin Sinaling, Islands of Banggai Resort Police Chief Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant Jimmy Marthin Simanjuntak, and Luwuk Banggai 1308 Military District Commander Lieutenant Colonel (Infantry) Hermanto.

Then, President Jokowi was given a traditional hat of Islands of Banggai and welcomed by the customary chief Marwan Bidalo.

“Please accept our sincerest apologies Basalo Tinangkung, on behalf of Islands of Banggai, welcome Bapak Ir. H. Joko Widodo. Let us uphold our unity and unitary to make our region safe, and to create prosperity and well-being for the people,” the customary chief said in local language.

President Jokowi was about to enter the car, but the crowd gathering at the field were so enthusiast welcoming him.

“Pak Jokowi… Mr. President,” the people were calling him.
