Vietnam PM in Indonesia to Meet President Jokowi

Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính Friday (23/04/2021) visited Indonesia.

Vietnam Airlines that carried the Prime Minister and his entourage arrived at Soekarno Hatta International airport in Tangerang, Banten, at 10.45 Western Indonesian Time.

PM Phạm Minh Chính was seen waving his hand as the plane door opened. The Prime Minister was warmly welcomed by Director General for Protocol and Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs / Chief of State Protocol Andy Rachmianto.

In the afternoon, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with his Vietnamese counterpart at Bogor Presidential Palace in Bogor, West Java.

For the record, this is PM Phạm Minh Chính’s first state visit to Indonesia after being sworn in on 5 April 2021. (Press Media and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat/UN) (AP/EP)
