Visiting Aceh, President Jokowi Will Groundbreaking the Construction of Keureuto Dam

President Jokowi gave a press statement to reporters before takeoff to Aceh, at Halim Air Base, Jakarta, Sunday (8/3)

After Friday and Saturday (6-7 March) ago, been to East Java and Central Java, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo on Sunday to Tuesday (March 8 to 10) conducted a working visit to the Province of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam.

President and his entourage departed from Halim, Jakarta, Sunday (8/3) afternoon around 16:30 pm, which accompanied by the governor of Aceh Zaini Abdullah and his wife, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Indroyono Susilo, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono and Cabinet Secretary Andi Widjajanto.

According to President Jokowi, his first visit into Aceh was done to lay the first stone or groundbreaking on construction of Keureuto Dam, District Paya Bakong, North Aceh Regency. In addition, Presiden will also visiting the former PT Arun, which has now become Pertagas.

Related with the construction of the Keureuto Dam, President Jokowi said, indeed this March as far as possible as many projects all started.

“In this March all projects started, the funds already exist in the state budget (APBN)”, President Joko Widodo said before takeoff at the military (TNI) air base Halim Perdana Kusuma, Jakarta.

As for his visit to the former PT Arun, to review the distribution of gas, because the gas produced from the former PT Arun provide a huge efficiency for Pertamina.

While on Tuesday (10/3), President Jokowi, is scheduled to launch the logo of 70th Anniversary of Independence of RI, in Kilometer Zero Monument, Sabang City.

Before launching the logo, President also scheduled to review the progress of the construction of Paya Seunara reservoirs and review the port of Sabang Region Concession Agency (BPKS) in Sabang Bay. (Humas Setkab/ES)
