President Jokowi extends greeting to welcome Ramadan 1439H, at Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, Thursday (17/5) (Photo: Setpres).

President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo has invited all Muslim in Indonesia to welcome and perform observance in the holy month of Ramadan 1438 Hijri or 2018 Gregorian calendar with heart full of peace and by put forward mutual respect.

“Let us perform fasting with heart full of peace, clean heart, and respecting each other so that the meaning of fasting taught by the Prophet Muhammad PBUH could be grasped and bear it sincerely,” President Jokowi said at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, on Thursday (17/5).

On the occasion, the Head of State has asked all parties to maintain tolerant, put forward harmony, keep up the spirit of brotherhood in the life of the people and the nation.

“I invite all to maintain tolerant, put forward harmony, keep up brotherhood and our ukhuwah Islamiah (Islamic brotherhood), as well as our ukhuwah wathaniyah (brotherhood of the nation),” President Jokowi conveyed. (SM/BPMI/ES) (EPI/YM/Naster)
