President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Tuesday (06/04) conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for the International Doctoral Program Campus Building of Gunadarma University in Nusantara Capital.

President Jokowi appreciated the construction of the first university in the new capital, which will offer international doctoral programs in collaboration with universities in France, Slovakia, Sweden, and other countries.

President Jokowi expressed hope that the presence of the university will enhance the quality of human resources (HR) in Indonesia especially the residents of East Kalimantan province and Kalimantan island.

“Since nowadays, the competition of human capital between countries is very intense,” the President said.

“By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, this afternoon, I officially declare the groundbreaking of the International Doctoral Program Campus of Gunadarma University,” he concluded. (FID/DNS) (EST/MUR)
