Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia on Groundbreaking of Delonix Nusantara in Nusantara Capital, East Kalimantan Province, September 25, 2024

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
Good morning,
May peace be upon us all.

Distinguished Minister of Investment, Minister of Transportation, Minister of Tourism;
Distinguished Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority, Governor of East Kalimantan;
Distinguished Founder dan Chairperson of Delonix Group Mr. Alex Zheng, President of  Delonix Group Indonesia Mr. Bill Lin;
Ladies and Gentlemen.

This morning, we held the groundbreaking ceremony for an investment in education from Australia, then we also conducted a groundbreaking ceremony for property construction funded by an investor from Russia. On this good occasion, we also conduct the groundbreaking of Delonix Nusantara, a mixed-use property funded by an investor from China. This indicates that foreign investments are beginning to flow in, reflecting their trust and our confidence that Nusantara is a highly attractive location for investment.

Today, we will conduct the groundbreaking for the mixed-use development of Delonix Nusantara, built by Delonix Group, an international hotel and lifestyle chain, with an investment of approximately Rp500 billion. This development will be constructed on a  24,000 square meters land and will be developed into a hotel, serviced apartments, shopping centers, offices, and a sports and fitness center in Nusantara Capital area.

With this investment, Delonix Group serves as a pioneer foreign company investing in Nusantara. This will boost other investors’ confidence in entering Nusantara Capital soon. Be cautious; land prices are still low this year. However, we don’t know about next year; land prices could double, triple, quintuple, or even decuple. So, I need to remind you that if you want to invest, you should start this year.

I am confident that with Delonix’s extensive experience operating various portfolios, including nine core brands of renowned hotels and resorts and over 1,600 hotel properties in various countries, Delonix Nusantara will grow rapidly in Nusantara Capital and become part of the progress of Nusantara as Indonesia’s future capital.

That concludes my remarks. By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, this afternoon, I officially launch the groundbreaking of Delonix Nusantara.
