President Prabowo to Visit Indonesia Pavilion in Expo 2025 Osaka

President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Osaka, Japan on Saturday (09/20) for a working visit. The President is slated to visit Indonesia Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka as a commitment to strengthen Indonesia’s active role and participation on the global stage as well as to promote innovation, sustainability, and international cooperation.

Upon arrival at Kansai International Airport at 08.30 local time, the President was officially welcomed by Chargé d’Affaires ad interim Maria Renata Hutagalung, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Osaka John Tjahjanto Boestami, and Defense Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo Rear Admiral Hidayaturrahman. Also welcoming the President’s arrival were Japan’s Former Assistant Chief Cabinet Secretary Keiichi Ichikawa and Ambassador in Charge of the Kansai Region Yasushi Misawa.

During his state visit, President Prabowo is scheduled to observe Indonesia Pavilion that is inspired from Balinese philosophy of life, Tri Hita Karana (three sources of happiness), which emphasizes harmony and balance among people, nature, and the God. The philosophy then became the foundation of the Pavilion’s narrative and vision in building a sustainable and inclusive future.

Adopting the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”, the Expo 2025 Osaka promotes global collaboration to face common challenges, such as climate change, technology transformation, and sustainable development. Indonesia is among 158 participants of the Expo.

President Prabowo’s presence at Expo 2025 Osaka serves as a tangible manifestation of Indonesia’s diplomacy on the global stage and a measure to reaffirm Indonesia’s position as a key power in the region and the world. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RAS/MMB)
