President Prabowo Subianto Watches Joint Military, Police Troop Parade at Magelang Military Academy

President Prabowo Subianto Thursday (02/27) attended a joint military and police troop parade at the Military Academy in Magelang regency, Central Java province, after leading the Sunset Parade Ceremony and the Red-and-White Flag-Lowering Ceremony.

The parade demonstrated unity and discipline of cadets from various branches of the military, reinforcing synergy between the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and the state defense elements.

Following the ceremony, the parade troops lined up along the parade route.

The first performance was by Genderang Suling Canka Lokananta (GSCL) marching band of the Military Academy. With its rhythmic and powerful beats, the GSCL delivered an amazing performance that boosted the spirit of all ceremony participants.

After the GSCL performance, the President returned to the ceremony podium to receive the parade troops.

The parade began with a slow march, then progressed into a military march parade featuring cadets from the Cavalry Platoon of the Military Academy, Emblem Bearer Group, Female Cadet Company, Military Academy Cadet Battalion, and Joint Cadet Battalion, among others.

Excited cheers erupted from the audience watching the parade. President Prabowo Subianto also watched the parade attentively, occasionally applauding to show his appreciation for the cadets.

After the troop parade ended, the Head of State received a report from the Ceremony Officer, marking the conclusion of the retreat for newly-elected regional leaders at the Military Academy.

Also attending the troop parade were the sixth president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, the seventh president Joko Widodo, Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) Ahmad Muzani, Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) Puan Maharani, Speaker of the House of Regional Representatives (DPD) Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin, Commander of the TNI General Agus Subiyanto, Chief of the National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, ministers of the Red-and-White Cabinet, and regional leaders from across Indonesia.
