President Prabowo Discusses Kampung Haji, Sumatra Accelerated Recovery in Hambalang

President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday (12/23) led the cabinet meeting at his residence in Hambalang, Bogor, discussing several national strategic agendas. Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya explained that one of the main issues being discussed was the Kampung Haji (Hajj village).

“For the first time in history, Indonesian pilgrims will be staying in Indonesian-owned accommodation,” noted Cabinet Secretary in his written statement.

The meeting also discussed the allocation and distribution of LPG and fuel in the three disaster-affected provinces in Sumatra. He underscored the Government’s commitment to the national energy supply during the Christmas and New Year holidays across Indonesia.

Regarding Sumatra recovery, President Prabowo gave directions to work accordingly in a coordinated manner, Cabinet Secretary continued.

“The President gave instructions to SOEs and Ministry of Public Works to finalize temporary housing as well as initiate the permanent housing for the disaster-affected community in Sumatra,” he added.

The meeting held in Hambalang marks President Prabowo’s active and responsive leadership, focusing on concrete solutions for people’s welfare, including improved Hajj services, national energy security, and post-disaster recovery in affected areas.
