President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Tuesday (10/08) stated that it takes optimism to achieve the target of increased national economic growth.

“We must be optimistic in facing the challenges of the global economic slowdown, climate change, or increased geopolitical tensions. We can face and resolve such problems,” President Jokowi said after opening the BNI Investor Daily Summit 2024, at the Jakarta Convention Center, Central Jakarta.

According to the President, industrial downstreaming and digitalization are also strategic programs that can help to increase economic growth in the future.

“We can achieve and realize the planned target with optimism. Without optimism, (such target) is difficult to realize,” he said.

In addition, President Jokowi expressed belief that investment in Nusantara would be fulfilled according to predetermined target.

“Actually, many investors approach us. We just need to ensure their seriousness and give the opportunity to those fit. So, not anyone can invest there since there are selection processes. And it is true that the figure is Rp58 trillion,” the President remarked. (TGH/DNS) (GWH/MUR)
