Heirloom National Flag and Indonesian Independence Proclamation Manuscript Arrive at Balikpapan City

Duplicate heirloom flag and Indonesian independence proclamation manuscript arrived at Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan International Airport, Balikpapan city, East Kalimantan province, on Saturday (08/10). After two hours flight, the Indonesian Air Force’s Boeing 737-400 that carried the flag and the manuscript landed at around 12.55 Central Indonesian Time.

On the occasion, the Retired Flag-hoisting squad (Purna Paskibraka) of Pancasila Ambassadors’ member assigned to carry the Red and White Heirloom Flag is Aulita Alqubra Sinapoy from Banten province. Another member assigned to carry the proclamation manuscript is Lilly Wenda from Highland Papua province.

Both members marched down the plane ladder and were welcomed by Presidential Security Detail (Paspampres), the Purna Paskibraka from East Kalimantan province, and the Culture Ambassadors of East Kalimantan province. Both Purna Paskibraka squad of Pancasila Ambassadors later took the tactical vehicle named “Maung”.

Afterwards, the Red and White Heirloom Flag and the proclamation manuscript were paraded to the State Palace in Nusantara Capital. A large number of people and students waving Indonesian flag welcomed enthusiastically the parade when the vehicles exited the airport.

The parade passed Mulawarman Street, Manggar Toll Gate, moved forward to Section III-A Toll Road, Balang island bridge, Negara Street, entered IKN Street, and finally made it to the State Palace in Nusantara Capital.
