President Prabowo Subianto Underscores Role of Flagship Schools in Shaping Next Generation of Leaders

President Prabowo Subianto underscores the importance of flagship schools in preparing future national leaders with strong character and a patriotic spirit in his address at the inauguration of Taruna Nusantara High School Malang Campus, in East Java Province, Tuesday (01/13).

President Prabowo Subianto underscored the vital role of flagship schools in nurturing future national leaders with strong character and a deep sense of patriotism.

The President conveyed this message in his address at the inauguration of SMA Taruna Nusantara Malang Campus in East Java Province, Tuesday (01/13).

“We seek to instill moral values and to cultivate good, upright character: leaders who are honest, leaders who refuse to engage in corruption, and leaders who will always do their best for the people and for their nation,” the President said.

In his address, the President also called on all institutional and school leaders to perform their duties with a strong sense of responsibility and dedication.

The Head of State also urged leaders of institutions, school principals, and teachers to provide education that is innovative and focused on the guidance and development of students.

“I call on all elements of institutional leadership, school leaders, and educators to provide the best possible education possible – education that is innovative and driven by a genuine commitment to nurture and develop our students,” he stated.

Looking ahead, with plans to establish flagship schools in every regency, the President expressed optimism that efforts to renew national leadership will gain momentum.

“With the addition of Garuda High School and our plan to have one flagship school in each regency, we hope this will speed up the revival of leadership and the resurgence of the Indonesian nation,” he added.

Beyond strengthening flagship schools, the President also reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to enhancing the overall quality of education.

This year, the Government aims to renovate approximately 60,000 schools nationwide.

“We have 300,000 schools. I hope that within four years we will be able to complete the renovation of all school campuses across Indonesia, and that we will also enhance quality in every field,” the President said.

In closing his remarks, the President reaffirmed that education is one of the principal instruments of national development.

“Education is an instrument of welfare; education is an instrument of democracy. Education and health are instruments to eliminate poverty. That is all from me. I am proud today to see the results of our efforts,” he concluded.
