President Prabowo Subianto underscored the importance of courage, hard work, and sincerity in leading the nation toward a better direction. He conveyed this message in his remarks when officiating the mass signing of 26,000 mortgages under the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) and ceremonial handover of house keys at Pesona Kahuripan 10 residential complex, Cileungsi district, Bogor regency, on Monday (09/29).
“As leaders—transformative leaders who seek to bring positive change for the people—we must be courageous. Courageous in setting high goals. Courageous in facing challenges. Courageous in working hard. Courageous in overcoming obstacles. Obstacles exist for us to overcome together,” President Prabowo asserted.
In his remarks, President Prabowo also highlighted the inspirational stories of two housing entrepreneurs who managed to rise from humble beginnings. One of them is Angga, the developer of Pesona Kahuripan, who once worked as an office boy.
“I feel proud and deeply moved today, seeing two outstanding entrepreneurs who once started as office boys. Now, they have managed to earn a profit of 120 billion rupiah—without stealing, without corruption. They are the sons of Indonesia we must be proud of. They represent our future,” President Prabowo said.
Earlier, Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait explained that the houses are of good quality and the developer has also received numerous awards. The Minister also highlighted the story of a developer named Angga, who, seven to eight years ago, worked as an office boy. However, with prayer and hard work, he has since managed to build thousands of houses for the community.
“But as you have taught us all, with prayer and hard work, today he has become the owner here. Last year, he built one thousand houses, this year he built two thousand, and next year he may build five thousand houses,” the Minister said.
President Prabowo once again reaffirmed his administration’s determination to curb the outflow of the nation’s wealth so it is used for the greatest interests of the people. The President stressed that Indonesia loses a lot of wealth so the people cannot enjoy it. Therefore, it is crucial to save the country’s wealth for the interests of the people.
“That is my determination, together with my colleagues who support me, to save Indonesia’s wealth so that it can be utilized for the benefit of the Indonesian people. That is what we want,” he concluded. (BPMI SETPRES) (AP/MMB)
