National development is a long-term endeavor that calls for hard work across generations, according to President Prabowo Subianto.
“I reiterate to all of you that national development is a long-term endeavor—it is a long march, a difficult and long journey,” the President said at the inauguration ceremony of the Industropolis Special Economic Zone (KEK) in Batang regency, Central Java province, Thursday (03/20).
The President also stated that Indonesia’s prosperity is the result of the struggle of past generations, including independence fighters and the previous Presidents.
He also called on the nation to appreciate the contribution of past leaders and to continue the struggle with a spirit of collaboration.
“I invite everyone to be grateful to our predecessors, all previous Presidents and Cabinet Members who have did their best,” he stated.
The President also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating job opportunities through industrial downstreaming with a target of 8 million new jobs in the next five years, while urging young people to remain optimistic and not be influenced by those who try to dampen their spirit.
“Our future is bright and promising, and we will move forward,” the President remarked.
