President Prabowo Oversees Post-Disaster Restoration of Lembah Anai Road

In a bid to ensure the acceleration of restoration of vital infrastructure damaged by flooding and landslides, President Prabowo Subianto Thursday (12/18) conducted an on-site inspection of the progress of road construction on Lembah Anai road, Padang Panjang–Sicincin section, KM 61+600–67+40 segment, Tanah Datar regency, West Sumatra province.
Upon arrival at the site, officials from the Ministry of Public Works briefed the President on the latest road condition and measures taken by the ministry to restore the infrastructure, including by cleaning up debris, rehabilitating the roads, conducting earth filling work and slope stabilization at vulnerable points.
On that occasion, President Prabowo inspected the operation of heavy equipment in clearing flood debris and repairing road structure. These efforts are expected to accelerate the restoration of transportation access and ensure the safety of road users.
The Head of State also visited the work site to greet the on-site personnel. He took his time to briefly spoke with heavy equipment operators and technical staff, expressing his appreciation for their dedication and hard work in carrying out road rehabilitation efforts amid post-disaster conditions.
The President’s visit affirmed the Government’s commitment to take swift, coordinated, and responsive actions in mitigating the impacts of the disaster particularly on strategic infrastructure that serves as a backbone of mobility and the regional economy in West Sumatra province.
