President Prabowo Witnesses MoU Signing between Danantara and Hisense

President Prabowo Subianto, Friday (05/15), witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund Danantara and Chinese electronics and appliance manufacturer Hisense at his residence in Jakarta. The signing was part of the efforts to strengthen investment cooperation and strategic partnership between Indonesia and global industrial actors.

“President Prabowo witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Investment Management Board Danantara and Hisense. The MoU is the first step to explore cooperation in the technology sector,” Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said in his statement.

The Minister pointed out that Investment and Downstream Industry Minister and Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani, Danantara CTO Sigit Puji Santosa, and Hisense Group Chairman Jia Shaoqian signed the MoU, with several members of the Red-and-White Cabinet also witnessing the exchange.

“The meeting proceeded productively in a warm atmosphere. President Prabowo expressed his warm welcome for Hisense’s interest in strengthening cooperation with Indonesia, especially in supporting the national development agenda, increasing investment, and reinforcing the domestic industrial ecosystem,” he said.

This cooperation is aimed at attracting quality investment, promoting the transfer of technology, creating jobs, and enhancing Indonesia’s competitiveness in the strategic industry sector.

Through the MoU signing, Indonesia and Hisense have affirmed their initial commitment to developing a long-term and mutually beneficial partnership.

Also attending the meeting were Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, and Vice Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono.
