Gov’t Boosts Food Security as President Prabowo Subianto Inspects Rice Reserves in Magelang

President Prabowo Subianto Saturday (18/04) inspected the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) warehouse in Danurejo, Magelang regency to ensure the availability of rice stock and the smooth distribution of the national food reserves.
According to Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, the visit reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to maintaining stable rice supplies across the regions.
The warehouse, which has a maximum storage capacity of 7,000 tons of rice, is currently fully stocked, indicating that supplies are sufficient to meet the needs of the city of Magelang and Magelang regency.
“The President also underscored that, in addition to ensuring availability, the quality of rice must be consistently maintained, and its distribution must be timely and well-targeted so that the benefits are truly felt by the public,” the Cabinet Secretary added.
This inspection is also part of the Government’s commitment to strengthening national food security and ensuring that the state remains present in fulfilling the basic needs of its people amid the energy and food crises affecting several countries. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RAS/EP)
