President Prabowo Subianto Thursday (04/17) at the State Palace inaugurated Governors of Papua Mountains Province and the Bangka Belitung Islands.

Following the inauguration, Governor of Papua Mountains John Tabo expressed deep gratitude to President Subianto for the trust and honor given to him and his fellow regional leaders.

“We’d like to extend our deepest gratitude to the President. This is a truly meaningful day for us Christians in Papua. Being inaugurated at the Palace during Easter feels like an unexpected blessing,” Papua Mountains Governor John Tabo said.

He also reinforced his commitment to faithfully executing the mandate and programs set forth by the President and Vice President to enhance public welfare, adding that he, together with the Deputy Governor, will immediately begin addressing key challenges in their region.

“We are committed to building a lasting legacy in this newly established autonomous region, guided by the President’s directives, including improving public welfare, protecting the environment, and advancing education. We will prioritize infrastructure development to enhance connectivity between provinces, regencies, districts, and villages,” he added.

Echoing a similar sentiment, Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands Hidayat Arsani also affirmed his dedication to implementing the Government’s programs outlined by the President and Vice President and to perform his duties with full dedication in accordance with the oath of office.

“We will work earnestly, in line with the oath we just took. Our focus is to carry out constitutional mandates and the Government’s programs that uphold the law,” the newly inaugurated Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands said.

In addition, Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands Hidayat Arsani reaffirmed his commitment to tackling key regional issues, including smuggling activities that have long harmed the state and local communities.
