President Prabowo Subianto Tuesday (04/29) met with Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly Ahmad Muzani at Merdeka Palace, Central Jakarta.

“We discussed the performance of state-owned enterprises (SOEs). The President expressed hope that the SOEs can evolve into robust institutions, given the significant capital investment from the state,” Ahmad Muzani told the press.

According to him, the President called for a comprehensive evaluation of SOEs directors, ensuring the institutions to contribute effectively to national economic development.

“The public also expects that the management of SOEs—including those under Danantara—can significantly contribute to Indonesia’s economic growth, particularly in elevating the welfare of the Indonesian people,” he added.

The discussion, Ahmad Muzani continued, also addressed humanitarian concerns regarding Palestinians affected by the conflict, particularly in Gaza.

“Mr. President expressed hope that by the time Palestine is free, those who bear the brunt of war trauma—especially children, women, and people with disabilities—can recover and return to their homeland,” he said.

Ahmad Muzani also stated that the President paid special attention to Palestinian medical personnel and educators and expressed belief that they should receive assistance to recover from trauma and improve their professional capacities, enabling them to contribute to rebuild Palestine.

“So that when Palestine is liberated, they can return to their homeland to shape the Palestine’s future,” he concluded. (BPMI Presidential Secretariat) (GWH/MUR)
