President Prabowo Applauds Indonesia’s 1-0 Victory over Bahrain

President Prabowo Subianto Tuesday (03/25) praised the Indonesian national football team for their hard-fought 1-0 victory against Bahrain team, after watching directly the match at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Central Jakarta.
“Alhamdulillah (praise be to God), our national team won. Their effort was commendable, and everyone fought hard. I also thank the PSSI (Indonesian Football Association). I hope our national team continues to make progress,” President Prabowo said in a statement to the press after the match.
The President emphasized that the match result was critical. While acknowledging that the performance was not flawless, he commended the team’s efforts, noting that the win opened doors for further advancement.
“If we had lost tonight, we would have been out. But since we won, we now have a chance to continue advancing,” he added.
Expressing optimism for Indonesia’s prospects, President Prabowo also shared his belief that the team can qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
“I think we’re on the right track,” President Prabowo remarked.
The President’s presence among thousands of passionate supporters at the stadium served as a source of motivation for the Garuda squad.
