Police Skill Demonstrations, Grand Defile Highlight 80th Bhayangkara Day Commemoration

The 80th Bhayangkara Day Commemoration Ceremony, held at the Mobile Brigade Corps (Korbrimob) Training Unit Field, Cikeas, Bogor regency, West Java province, on Wednesday (07/01), featured a series of large-scale performances showcasing the best capabilities of the Indonesian National Police (Polri). From the ceremonial grandstand, President Prabowo Subianto witnessed a series of tactical demonstrations and grand defile highlighting the professionalism, preparedness, and dedication of Polri.
The Head of State attentively watched each demonstration, as precise movements and neat formations delivered a performance that combined the discipline, bravery, and tactical abilities of Polri personnel.
The event began with a drum corps performance that energized participants and spectators. It was followed by the entrance of Polri Rifle Column (Kolone Senapan) troops marching in unison before forming “80th Polri” formation to commemorate eight decades of the Bhayangkara Corps.
A hostage-rescue simulation then captured the attending audience’s enthusiasm, with personnel carrying out the mock operations swiftly and precisely alongside the roar of gunfire.
On several occasions, the President returned the salute in appreciation for every action demonstrated with precision. The actions reflecting the readiness and rapid response of Polri were also met with applause from the audience.
The skill demonstration also featured skydiving action, trail-cross jumping attractions, and smoke bomb displays. The performances highlighted the capabilities, courage, and operational readiness of Polri personnel in carrying out their duties to maintain security and protect the public.
The celebration continued with a grand defile involving more than 6,000 participants grouped into 22 regiments. In addition to Polri personnel, the parade included various elements of society, ranging from youth leaders, school and university students, labor groups, and religious communities, to online motorcycle taxi drivers.
The diversity of participants served as a symbol of unity among all elements of the nation in the collective effort to maintain security, national integrity, and public order.
Following the defile, a group of junior police cadets entered the ceremony field. With firm steps and synchronized movements, they delivered a series of neat and precise formations before the President. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (YA/AW)
